I can’t say enough positive things about Dr, Maksim Shlykov. My husband went to see him in regard to his back just over a year ago. Dr,Shlykov took the time with my husband during his initial visit to listen and gave my husband hope from the beginning. He performed surgery on my husband’s back to fix a disc in his back and the care that my husband received was top notch. My husband is 60 years old and has recovered well. He has been able to return to all his prior activities prior to his injury. We traveled over 2 hours to receive care from this doctor and would have traveled 24 hours if needed. I would recommend Dr, Shlykov to anybody!!! Thank you Doctor Shlykov!!!!

My previous doctor Dr Adam moved to Nebraska after performing spine surgery on me on March 1st this year so I was a little concerned about seeing someone brand new.
I need not have been concerned because Dr Shlykov took over my care and I liked him very much. His follow up after my surgery put me at ease and I am glad I trusted the physicians at Mercy Personal physicians!

Dr. Shlykov saved my life with emergency spine surgery. I was having some neck pain radiating down to my elbow, and I thought I was coming to the Maryland Spine Center for a more or less routine exam. It turns out I had a spine infection which was bordering on septic, along with some disc and vertebral disorders possibly exacerbated by the infection. He performed a cervical discectomy, laminectomy, and spinal debridement. Three months later, my neck pain is gone, and the surgical trauma is healing well. He did a great job and I look forward to regaining full function in the next three months.
