Dr. Shlykov saved my life with emergency spine surgery. I was having some neck pain radiating down to my elbow, and I thought I was coming to the Maryland Spine Center for a more or less routine exam. It turns out I had a spine infection which was bordering on septic, along with some disc and vertebral disorders possibly exacerbated by the infection. He performed a cervical discectomy, laminectomy, and spinal debridement. Three months later, my neck pain is gone, and the surgical trauma is healing well. He did a great job and I look forward to regaining full function in the next three months.
